Men a Vour, Tinklers Hill

Today was lost retracing steps from old notes.
Some rather quick drawings I’d made from the deck of Barnabas the previous summer. We arrived early
in the morning, it was flat calm and a wonderful luminosity hung over the isles, everything was pale in that early morning summer light. Flumes of clouds shimmering up.Today it was grey outside so I thought as I was here I would work the drawings up into larger pieces with the view of making some large works back in the studio.
And the more I wanted them to shine
the more they sunk into the abyss.

To my own thoughts the drawings are complete in themselves, but there is always that nagging feeling of not letting the bigger moment off the hook.
In the past I have had ideas floating around for years untill they develop further - a state of mind i wish to return to.

nascent
naive
- still

Nascent - in the act of being born, just beginning to be, not yet mature: (Chem ) just being formed and therefore unusually reactive
